Bradley faces McDonagh for Southern Title

Date:
14. September 2012

Bradley faces two weight Southern Area Champion Peter ‘Connemara Kid’ McDonagh at York Hall this evening for his first title fight.

McDonagh has an established Championship record going right back to the mid-noughties, having won the Southern Area Lightweight title back in 2004 with a close points victory over Jon Honney before going on to secure the Irish Lightweight Crown, with a sensational sixth round stoppage of Michael Gomez, two years later.

Since then McDonagh has had a mixed career but as many professionals have pointed out - when it comes to McDonagh rip up his record sheet, it means nothing.

Bradley knows he's in for a tough fight tonight and is relishing the prospect, commenting 'I know Peters a tough man but I am boxing for my first title so I am going to be giving it everything tonight. If I just stick to the game plan the titles there for the taking'

Bradleys bout will be the main support for TKO’s Billy Joe Saunders, as he defends his Commonwealth Middleweight Crown against Jarrod Fletcher, at the Frank Warren Promoted ‘Three Lions’ event
