Bradley faces McDonagh for Southern Title

Bradley faces two weight Southern Area Champion Peter ‘Connemara Kid’ McDonagh at York Hall this evening for his first title fight.

McDonagh has an established Championship record going right back to the mid-noughties, having won the Southern Area Lightweight title back in 2004 with a close points victory over Jon Honney before going on to secure the Irish Lightweight Crown, with a sensational sixth round stoppage of Michael Gomez, two years later.

Bradley has pencilled in a September title showdown against southern area welterweight champion Chas Symonds.

Skeete was in outstanding form at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, dispatching Ross Payne via knockout after just 117 seconds.

Now, the Penge boxer wants to claim his maiden title in just a ninth pro outing.

Bradley Skeete was given the royal seal of approval by boxing enthusiasts following his impressive performance at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in West Kensington last Saturday.
The 24-year-old welterweight from Battersea took one minute and 57 seconds to stop the previously unbeaten Crawley-based Ross Payne.

Referee Richie Davis called an immediate halt to the scheduled eight rounder from the moment Payne sucker-punched to the canvas by a massive right hand.

Skeete easily handles Frontin in first eight round bout

Rising welterweight prospect Bradley Skeete dropped opponent Michael Frontin in the first round with a startling uppercut before coasting to a one-sided decision win in what was his first fight scheduled for eight threes. Skeete defeated Frontin in front of a strong crowd at the home of British boxing – York Hall – in Bethnal Green, London on Friday, January 13 on a card staged by Queensberry Promotions.
